What you’ll do

• Own the design and delivery of software solutions across features, services and systems.
• Build and operate cloud-native, serverless applications on AWS.
• Help shape technical direction and reduce complexity and technical debt.
• Define and influence test strategies with a focus on security, accessibility, usability and resilience.
• Lead high-quality code reviews and give constructive feedback.
• Mentor and coach engineers while encouraging collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• Drive continuous improvement in team processes, tooling and ways of working.

• Strong expertise in modern software engineering and cloud-native application design.
• Proven experience delivering serverless solutions on AWS.
• Practical experience with MongoDB, including schema design and performance optimisation.
• Experience building and maintaining large-scale systems using TDD, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
• A strong security-first mindset with experience in secure application development and cloud compliance.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems and make sound architectural decisions.
• Significant experience working in Agile environments.
