About SussexDigital
Sussex has one of the UK’s most vibrant digital economies.
Yet much of it is surprisingly hard to find. We’re building the front door to it.
Thousands of people work in technology, digital, creative and innovation businesses across Brighton & Hove, Worthing, Crawley, Chichester, Eastbourne and dozens of other places in the county. Every week there are meetups, conferences, workshops and chances to learn, collaborate and grow.
But communities often work independently. Events are spread across dozens of platforms. Businesses struggle to see beyond their own networks, and people moving to the area have no idea where to start.
Why I started SussexDigital
Back in 2008 I was simply looking for other people nearby doing similar work. That search led to WorthingDigital, which has hosted more than 150 events over the last decade. One thing kept coming up. People would tell me:
“I didn’t know this existed.”
The more people I spoke to around Sussex, the more I heard the same thing. SussexDigital grew from that. Our goal isn’t to replace the great communities and organisations already here. It’s to help more people find them.
