Side hustles in nap time is a beginner-friendly Brighton workshop for women on maternity leave who want to return to paid work with more confidence using AI, or explore a business idea, side project or portfolio career that fits family life.
The practical session is designed around making progress in the room rather than listening to a lecture. Attendees will build a simple prototype for testing a business idea with potential users, learn how to frame that idea clearly in an AI-shaped working world, and see a live demonstration of how AI can support a growing business and its day-to-day operations.
Contributors include Rose Tighe, Product Leader and Co-Founder and Chair of Brighton AI; narrative architect Sarah Kemp; and Frankie Hewitson, who will demonstrate how she uses AI across her supply-chain tracking platform.
The event welcomes women from any industry and at any level of AI experience. Babies are welcome, and mothers who have already returned to paid work can also attend. Coffee and snacks are included, with an on-site café available afterwards for further conversation and networking.
Arrivals and networking begin at 11am, with the structured session starting at 11.30am. Spaces are limited.
