Technical Assurance Analyst

Virgin Atlantic is recruiting for the role of Technical Assurance Analyst. Technical Assurance Analyst role helping strengthen security posture across cloud, infrastructure, applications, operational technology and third-party services. It involves assessing risk, challenging control weaknesses and producing clear assurance findings and recommendations.

What you’ll do

• Coordinate penetration testing, vulnerability assessments and specialist security testing.
• Analyse vulnerability information, remediation evidence, security exceptions and risk acceptance requests.
• Produce assurance findings, practical recommendations and management reporting for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Help improve assurance methods, testing approaches and control validation practices.

What they’re looking for

• Experience in information security, cyber security, technical assurance, technology risk, audit, security testing or control validation.
• Ability to conduct or support technical assurance reviews across applications, infrastructure, cloud, identity, endpoints, networks, suppliers or operational technology.
• Ability to review technology changes, solution designs, onboarding activity or project delivery to assess security risks.
• Experience assessing technical evidence to judge whether controls are well designed, properly implemented and operating effectively.
• Ability to support vulnerability management, remediation tracking, security exception reviews or risk acceptance activity.
• Experience coordinating penetration testing, red team, purple team or specialist security testing.
• Ability to work with technical teams, control owners, suppliers, auditors or assurance providers on vulnerabilities and control gaps.
