What you’ll do
- Support the development, testing and integration of AI and machine learning models, LLM integrations, intelligent services or data retrieval pipelines.
- Assist with data collection, preprocessing, transformation and validation for model training, testing, evaluation and implementation.
- Help improve AI-enabled solutions by debugging and strengthening performance, reliability, explainability, maintainability and quality.
- Support model training workflows, inference endpoints, prompt-based interactions, evaluation routines, retrieval patterns, AI agents or agentic workflows.
- Work with engineering, product, data, risk, security and business partners to implement AI-driven solutions aligned to business requirements.
- Document model parameters, prompts, assumptions, data pipelines, integrations and technical decisions to support reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
- Take part in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives and code reviews.
- Help ensure AI systems and AI-enabled features align with reliability, safety, governance, security, compliance and escalation expectations.
What they’re looking for
- You need a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical subject before the full-time start date.
- You need knowledge of Python and foundational data processing technologies.
- You need a foundational understanding of computer science concepts such as data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, debugging, testing and problem solving.
- You need a foundational understanding of machine learning concepts, including model training, evaluation, feature engineering and experimentation.
- You need an introductory understanding of modern AI systems, including LLM APIs, prompt-based interactions, retrieval patterns, AI powered tools or generative AI applications.
- You need the ability to support AI and machine learning development, testing, documentation, integration or data pipeline activities under guidance.
- You need awareness of responsible AI expectations, including reliability, safety, governance, security, privacy, compliance and appropriate escalation.
- You need strong communication, collaboration, documentation and learning agility across technical and non-technical teams.
Additional role information
- Experience from coursework, research, projects, open source, internships, hackathons or extracurricular activities is mentioned as preferred.
- There is interest in machine learning, generative AI, natural language processing, intelligent automation, data engineering, agentic AI or AI-enabled software development.
- Familiarity with NLP techniques and model concepts such as embeddings, BERT, transformers or LLMs is listed as preferred.
- Exposure to LLM APIs, prompt engineering, tools, function calling, retrieval patterns or agent workflow concepts is also preferred.
