Property Risk Engineering Consultant

Intact Insurance is recruiting for the role of Property Risk Engineering Consultant. This role carries out detailed property risk engineering assessments of large and specialist cases and advises customers on loss prevention and technical risk management. It also works with underwriting and helps shape customer propositions and risk consulting relationships.

What you’ll do

• Carry out detailed location-specific property risk engineering assessments of large and specialist cases.
• Manage the risk consulting relationship with customers to support quality, consistency and technical excellence.
• Contribute to customer propositions using knowledge and insight of customers and risks.
• Provide loss prevention and technical risk management advice at corporate level.
• Work with underwriting to help mitigate risks to the business.

What they’re looking for

• You need an extensive property risk engineering background.
• Experience of property risk engineering within Specialty Lines business is required.
• You should have reviewed and assessed high-hazardous risks such as data centres, pharmaceutical risks and chemical risks.
• Knowledge of sprinklers and fire protection systems is needed.
• An insurance background is preferred, though someone from industry may also be considered.
